Tonefield generates minimal wallpapers and renders the same composition at native resolution for every screen you own, from a 1440x3120 Android phone to a 374x446 Apple Watch.

Twelve generative compositions (ridgelines, dunes, aurora curtains, topographic contours, prism shards and more) meet a colour engine built on OKLCH: 33 curated palettes across six families, plus a mixer that generates ramps from a base hue and six harmony schemes. Because colour is perceptual rather than a fixed list of hex values, saturation and contrast are continuous controls and hot hues desaturate gracefully instead of clipping.

You can also bring your own photo. The headline control maps each pixel's luminance through the active palette ramp, so every palette in the app instantly regrades your own picture; blend any generative pattern over it in Overlay, Soft light, Multiply or Screen. Photos are processed entirely in the browser and never uploaded.

Phone and watch preview side by side in real device silhouettes so you can see the composition adapt across aspect ratios, with a legibility scrim that samples the top of the frame and darkens or lightens it so the clock stays readable. Save presets to return to a look later, and export at true native resolution for 23 device presets across iOS, Android, watchOS, Wear OS, tablet and desktop.
